OVERVIEW

There are 173-rooms at the completely renovated One & Only Palmilla. You can book either traditional hotel rooms or suites which both come with private balconies, daily fresh fruit deliveries, ocean views, and so much more.

The goal of this resort has always been to be the best luxury hotel in Mexico, and you can see in all of the details that it is becoming just that. You will always feel welcomed here, with the staff going out of their way to say “hola” each time they see you. The resort is home to one of the few safe beaches in the area, Pelican Beach (many other beaches have too strong of rip currents to be safe). You can borrow stand-up paddleboards, cabanas, or go on a boat ride.

This resort has been built with couples and families in mind. There is an adult-only area of the resort. Book one of the Pool Casita suites and enjoy a romantic trip, with terraces overlooking the ocean, a private infinity pool, and jacuzzi tubs.

If you come to the One & Only Palmilla, you have to dine at the cliffside Agua by Larbi. Dine on fresh fish at this “Mexi-terranian” restaurant. Or enjoy the onsite steakhouse, Seared. Here you can eat innovative steak filets paired with Mexican and South American wines.

At One&Only you’ll enjoy time at the beach, at the Aqua infinity pool for families, or the adults-only Vista pool.

There is also a lot to offer in the hotel boutiques, stocked with high-end designers like Louboutin and Salvatore Ferragamo. Some of what you will see for sale is only offered in One&Only hotels and resorts. There are also handmade Mexican items for sale, such as ceramics, hand-embroidered linens, and more.

If you want to be fully emerged in luxury, step into the 22,000 square foot spa and fitness area. You can join one of the complimentary daily fitness classes (like yoga, barre, or TRX training) before you pick up a juice or smoothie. There is a blowout bar, men’s grooming studio, and nail or skin treatments. There are also private outdoor showers and a garden you can unplug in.

Here are a few takeaways from my time at One&Only Palmilla:

Decor: I'm in love with the traditional Mexican decor here... it's warm, inviting, but also luxurious!!

The Ceviche & Margaritas: After tasting countless versions of ceviche in Cabo over a 5 day span, the one here served in a coconut shell was by far the best! Pair it with a margarita and some guac/chips and you have the most perfect lunch!!
The Chapel: Absolutely Stunning!! I'm always looking for the most gorgeous places to say “I do” and the chapel on property here took my breath away.
