Disney’s Sangria University
You probably think that Disney caters primarily to kids, and with activities like Bibbidi Booddi Boutique and character dining, you would be right. But over at Coronado Springs Resort, there is an adult-only activity that is sure to be a hit on your next Disney World vacation, Sangria University.
What is Sangria University?
Disney World’s Sangria University is an hour-and-a-half “class” held at Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. During the class, you will learn the history of sangria, how to make four signature varieties of sangria served at the restaurant, and even dabble in creating your own sangria using fresh fruits and in-house wines and spirits!
You may even learn how sangria plays an interesting role in Disney World’s history! Tip: if you want to win the trivia question, research what four attractions Walt Disney brought to the 1964 World’s Fair.
How much is Sangria University?
Disney World’s Sangria University is $69-$79 per person plus tax and gratuity. Payment is due when booking (you can book this experience 60 days in advance). Disney Vacation Club and Annual Passholder discounts can be applied to this experience.
What does Sangria University include?
Four pre-made glasses of sangria
One glass of sangria that you make yourself
A “light appetizer” (both times I have gone, it was house-made chips and guacamole)
A certification saying you passed Sangria University!
Four recipe cards so you can make your favorite glasses of sangria from the class at home!
GOOD TO KNOW…
Adults-only, but children permitted: You must be over 21 to participate in this experience, so this is an adult-only experience. You can bring your children to the experience, but they will be charged the full price for the experience and be offered a non-alcoholic flight to enjoy during the class.
Location: The restaurant is outside and on the water of Coronado Springs, so plan accordingly, and it may be canceled due to inclement weather.
Timing: This experience takes place only on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 pm and has limited space. If you want to do this on your next vacation, I recommend booking it 60 days in advance!
Be Prepared: While you are served a “light appetizer” during this experience, the restaurant is not open, and you cannot order food during the experience. If you are someone who does not drink often, please keep this in mind as it is a lot of alcohol and not a lot of food. Also, please plan how you will safely return to your resort after this experience, as again, it is FIVE glasses of sangria which is a lot for anyone!
If you know anything about Disney, you know alcohol can be pricey across property, I think this is an excellent value as you are getting an experience and five glasses of sangria. Just remember to be safe!
Did I convince you to try this experience on your next Disney vacation? Let us know if you want to add this to your vacation. This experience starts booking out 60 days in advance!
