OVERVIEW
Located in the luxurious and exclusive hillside town of Pedregal behind Cabo San Lucas, the Waldorf Astoria sits on the cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and some incredible sunsets. After arriving at the Los Cabos International Airport and taking a 45-minute drive, you will feel exclusivity as you enter the hotel from a privately-owned tunnel through the mountain. Making your way through the tunnel and coming out into the stunning courtyard on the other side will set the tone for a magnificent trip.
With the Pacific Ocean rolling right in front of you, the Waldorf Astoria has a pristine location and style that you will instantly fall in love with. The architecture and covered patios adorned with palm trees and Mexican architecture will make you never want to leave—and provide the best location to watch the sunsets every night. As a welcome amenity when you arrive in your room, you can enjoy a tasting of Clase Azul tequila in a hand-painted decanter that you are welcome to take as a souvenir.
This is THE resort to visit for couples, honeymooners, anniversary trips and more. This resort screams romance and you’ll be transported to this oasis the moment you enter the mountainside tunnel leading you to paradise. The main area of the resort has a fantastic bar and restaurant, Don Manuel’s. This isn’t a private beach for hotel guests, but due to the location of the resort through the mountains, you won’t find many other people here who are not guests. It is not recommended that you swim in these waters, due to strong currents.

There are 115 rooms inside the Waldorf Astoria resort, which has been a member of the Hilton Honors program since 2019. There are a lot of room-style options that you can choose from, including traditional rooms, suites, and villas. Book your stay in one of the ocean-facing rooms and relax by the fireplace after a long day on the beach or chill out with a cocktail in your private infinity pool. The décor inside the rooms evoke a traditional, elegant feel with Mexican colors and art as inspiration.

THINGS TO DO
Thanks to the close location to Cabo San Lucas, you can easily get to shopping, entertainment, and the marina for sport fishing or visiting the arch by boat. Before heading out on the town for the evening, be sure to stop at the champagne terrace for some pre-dinner bubbles (and then stop by on your way back too). One of the main restaurants within the resort is the cliffside restaurant El Farallon. Outside guests can also make reservations to dine here as well and it’s extremely popular at sunset.
The resort offers many onsite classes that guests can participate in, ranging from Mexican cooking classes, to craft cocktail demonstrations, and wine and tequila tastings. This includes learning how to make the signature Pedregal Spicy Margarita, known to be one of the best margaritas in Mexico!
