Your Ultimate Guide to Star Wars at Disney World
Star Wars fans, set a course for Batuu!
So, you’re heading to the Disney World parks and want to entertain your unabashedly nerdy Star Wars self. Jump to lightspeed and hold on, here’s the intel!
Where is “Star Wars Land”?
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is located within Hollywood Studios. You’ll need a park ticket and a park reservation for Hollywood Studios to be cleared to land at the planet Batuu’s Black Spire Outpost, the setting for Galaxy’s Edge.
Be prepared for transport to a galaxy far, far away! The entrance feels a bit like flying the Millennium Falcon through tunnels on an asteroid. Coming out the other side, you’re now immersed in the story that is Star Wars.
What attractions are in Galaxy’s Edge?
Even young Padawans will want to experience the Fastest Hunk of Junk in the Galaxy! The attraction is called Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and you’ll find yourself onboard the Falcon pursuing a First Order train carrying coaxium. You may be a gunner, an engineer, or a pilot. May the Force be With You!
Rise of the Resistance is an immersive attraction and beyond compare! The Resistance base on Batuu has been infiltrated by the First Order. Rey recruits you to join the Resistance, but while being transported off planet to meet with Princess Leia, your transport is captured! You must endure Storm Troopers, Kylo Ren, and AT-ATs and escape!
Is there a Cantina around here? I’m thirsty!
Oga’s Cantina may be dimly lit, but it’s friendly to travelers of all ages! Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are offered – all with Star Wars flare! The drinks bubble, ooze, and smoke on backlit tables and bartops while cantina tunes fill the space and bartenders make you feel at home on another planet.
There’s a disturbance in the Force; a Tie Fighter on Batuu. Find the Tie Fighter and you’ll find the Milk Stand where green and blue milk are served with or without alcohol. Mobile ordering is available and no, these beverages do not taste like milk but they certainly hit the spot!
I need to re-fuel. Where can I eat?
Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay 7 both serve up hearty food to weary travelers. They offer mobile ordering and serve out of this world food and beverages “from” the planets of Endor, Tatooine, and Ando. Adults, the Surly Sarlacc is spectacular! And everyone should save room for dessert!
Can I bring home a medal of honor like Luke & Han after they obliterated the Death Star?!
Better than a medal, build your own droid at Droid Depot or realize your role in the Resistance and build a custom lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop where your story takes shape. Both the droid and lightsaber are yours to keep! The droids are remote-controlled, and the lightsabers illuminate. These experiences are priced separately from park admission and reservations are strongly recommended.
