Sandals Royal Barbados
It’s hard to even know where to begin when it comes to this property… or even figure out what I love most about it. I had the opportunity to visit Sandals Royal Barbados sister property a few years ago (Sandals Barbados) and it left a major impression on me. So when I had the chance to visit Sandals newest property, Sandals Royal Barbados, there was no way I was passing it up. I had to see if I would still consider the Sandals properties in Barbados my favorite in the well known luxury all-inclusive brand. I’m happy to report my opinion hasn’t changed; they are fantastic and I’d go back in a heartbeat again and again.
What I love…
I always tell people they aren’t going to have the best meal of their lives at an all inclusive, it just isn’t going to happen. However, I can say in the truest form, that Sandals Barbados has the most consistent and high quality food out of any of the all inclusive properties I’ve visited. From Indian cuisine to French, there is something for everyone here. My favorite spot by far, is the rooftop French Restaurant. I am not sure who came up with the concept, but the tables that face outward over the property are STUNNING. It’s an unbelievable view and coupled with being there with someone you love, you are in for a treat. Don’t pass this restaurant up.
The new property offers an array of club level room categories (stocked mini bar, dedicated club lounge & room service until 10pm) or you can choose to upgrade to a butler level suite. This is really the way to go if budget allows! All rooms at Sandals Royal Barbados start at Club Level.
Benefits of Upgrading to a Butler
24 hour room service
Packing/unpacking of luggage
Restaurant & Spa reservations arranged
Lounge chairs/cabanas reserved for you daily
Phone with direct access to your butler(s) to handle your every request
Private check in
Personal service for food/beverages at the beach and pool
Serve you breakfast in bed or on your terrace..essentially wherever you want
I’ve had the opportunity to experience the Sandals butlers first hand and I can tell you it’s such a great treat!
Rooftop Infinity Pool
I love this infinity pool in the evening! There is a beautiful bar overlooking the property as well. It’s a unique feature to the Sandals brand.
The Beach
The beach is fantastic at Sandals Barbados! It’s a cove style beach so it’s not one that you walk for miles, but the water is calm and clear. There are plenty of chairs available and non-motorized water sports are included. I saw plenty of people paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling right off the shore!
DON’T WAIT!
This resort tends to sell out of popular room categories far in advance - we recommend booking as soon as possible to get your preferred room.
Combining Two Properties into One
Sandals Barbados is less than 5 years old, and the newest addition featured here, Sandals Royal Barbados. They have done an incredible job integrating the two properties so that it feels like one large property! You can actually go between the two and not even realize you’ve moved from one side to the other.
The best part about these properties is that you get full access to both no matter which one you are staying at! You have countless dining options to choose from and plenty of pools and bars where you can rotate throughout your stay.
This is still my favorite out of all the Sandals Resorts and has been for years. I highly recommend a visit!
