Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the villas at Baoase Resort in Curacao offer a spacious retreat for couples or families traveling with children. With 1 to 4 bedrooms, 1 to 3 modern bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a large patio with a private pool, all modern-day luxuries are taken care of. There are indoor and outdoor sitting areas with a dining table for intimate meals either inside the villa or on the pool terrace. The villas have hardwood floors and high colonial ceilings, making them a cool personal oasis to relax and unwind.

- Master bedroom has a king size bed (ground floor)
- Ensuite outdoor bathroom with rain shower and bathtub, indoor double wash basins and toilet
- 2 bedroom villa includes a guest bedroom with king size bed and balcony (second floor) with ensuite spacious bathroom with rain shower, double wash basins and toilet

My personal thoughts…

- Villas with full kitchens can be stocked ahead of time for those guests that do not want to participate in the all inclusive packages available.
- While this resort is family friendly, it does lend itself to being primarily adult only. However, if you are looking for a quiet escape with your children, the private pool villas are perfect. The beach area is also great for those with young children as the water is very calm because of the man made lagoon. Kayaking and snorkeling are perfect activities for the kids here.
- Personally, I think this is a great family friendly resort for much older children who are not looking for tons of activities and prefer just to soak up the sun. Or, this resort lends itself to those families who have children under 3 who are not looking for entertainment in the way of clubs.
- When I visited (which was at full occupancy) I believe I saw 2-3 families total. I did not see the families at dinner, but were out enjoying the main beach during the day.
- Honeymooners and adults, do not be concerned, this is not and never will be a resort over-run with children. You may find a few families quietly enjoying their vacation, but by no means was I disappointed by their presence. Do not let the family friendly aspect deter you!
- This is a quiet resort and it will stay this way... it just wouldn't be the same experience otherwise.
